Since 1983, Kim Pan-ki has been a full-time ceramicist, using the time to research, experiment and put into practice a variety of complex techniques. With this lidded mug, we see the simple yet effective results of the comb-pattern method, one thats been celebrated in Korean culture for over 12,000 years. Note how it comes to life through delicate etchings on the clays surface, wonderfully enhancing the curved forms. And thanks to the inclusion of the functional lid, itll retain heat and prevent spills.
